10:00 Kitchen Ceilidh/ Wool Waulking

Kitchen Ceilidh is a women’s acapella group with Gaelic songs, stories and culture in the program. They will lead a workshop after their performance of Wool Waulking songs. Wool Waulking is a Celtic tradition where wool is felted by a group sitting around a large table while singing.

12:00 Fionnghal Duo

Fiddle and cello make up the traditional Scottish dance band, and this duo, with Erika Nagamoto on fiddle and Beth Brown on cello will perform mostly neo-traditional Scottish music. With original and contemporary jigs, reels, strathspeys and airs, your perception of Celtic music may be transformed.

1:30 David Greenberg (performance)

David performs interwoven musical tapestries from the worlds of Cape Breton, Scottish 18th-century, Baroque, and his own musical creations on the violin.

4:00 Jam Lab with Annie Shaw  (all levels welcome)

If you’re newer to playing in Celtic sessions, this is your opportunity to get ideas for tune learning, intentionally engaging with the music when you don’t know the tune being played, repertoire building and maintenance, repurposing sheet music and more, all while playing at a comfortable tempo with time for questions and comments between tunes.
