Program Description

Event Details

Join us for Cooks and Books, a free, in-person cooking demonstration and showcase of cookbooks at C3 (Corvallis Community Center, 2601 NW Tyler Ave). Learn how to prepare and sample a recipe demonstrated by a local chef as well as browse cookbooks related to the recipe and theme. The theme for January is Mexican cuisine with Rommy Streicher of Sabor.

Rommy Streicher is the owner and operator of Sabor LLC, a company that began in 2019 with the mission of making authentic and homemade products with love. Sabor is well-known in Corvallis for their tamales. Rommy will demonstrate a recipe for tinga toast with chicken and with mushrooms (vegan/vegetarian).

This event series is co-sponsored by C3, Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, and Corvallis Sustainability Coalition.

Cooks and Books will return with a new theme and chef on Thursday, April 25th!
