Join theatre director and craftsperson Sanaya Forbes as she walks workshop participants through the process of creating theatrical masks from plaster and paperclay. She'll bring along samples of her own work for examination, finished masks which will soon appear onstage in the Majestic Theatre's Fall Mainstage production of Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play.

Please note the following:

  • Workshop participants should wear clothes they do not mind getting dirty. To make the masks, we will put plaster on our faces and this can be messy!
  • Workshop participants will leave the workshop with a mask that needs some time to dry before adding paint at home

The Majestic Theatre is excited to bring performance and stagecraft workshops to the library with the assistance of our educational program instructors and volunteer Mainstage directors.
