Event Details

This second program in the League of Women Voters’ Restoring Democracy series will explore our local response to an issue of national concern. We have invited an immigration attorney, a local law enforcement officer, and the director of a local nonprofit that supports immigrants to respond to the following questions:

 

  • What does it mean to live in a sanctuary state/county/city?
  • How does our local law enforcement interface with ICE?
  • What support is available for community members who are immigrants?

 

This program will offer attendees an opportunity for networking and small group discussion, as well as providing a range of actions. Light refreshments will be served.
