Program Description
Event Details
Leather Making, participants will engage in hands-on projects, like designing and creating their own leather goods. We will learn how to accurately gauge and cut the leather, use technology and equipment for finishing touches and decorations, and discover how leather is used by indigenous people in sustainable ways. This interdisciplinary approach allows students to apply knowledge from various fields in a practical, creative context.
***This is a makerspace project for tweens and teens, grades 4th to 12th. Sharp objects, hammers, and equipment will be involved. Safety is our top priority. ***
Program sponsored by Mid-Valley STEM-CTE Hub.
