Program Description

Event Details

The purpose of the program is to educate community members about how our land use system is currently working after recent changes at both the state and local levels. Following brief presentations by our speakers, there will be plenty of time for audience questions.

Speakers will include Peggy Lynch, LWV of Oregon Natural Resources Coodinator; Ethan Stuckmeyer, Housing Division Head at the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development; and Paul Bilotta, Community Development Director at the City of Corvallis. Their presentations will focus on the changes to the State land use laws, the motivation behind them, the impact on local jurisdictions, and the implications for public engagement.

The event sponsor and primary organizer is the League of Women Voters of Corvallis, with co-sponsorship by the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition’s Land Use Action Team, the Corvallis- Benton County Public Library, and the City of Corvallis.
