From www.philomathfrolic.org:

Each year the Library hosts the Frolic Chalk Round-up in front of the Philomath Community Library building. Upon arriving, artists of all ages, abilities, and imaginations register and are given a 5 ft. x 5 ft. section of sidewalk to color. All chalk is provided, but participants may use their own as well. This is not so much a competition as it is an opportunity to have some fun, be creative, and show off your artwork to the community during the rest of Frolic weekend.

This year's event is Friday, July 12, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
No pre-registration is required.
No fee for participation.

Varies age categories with gift cards to local restaurants for the winners of each category.

This year, the Frolic is celebrating its 70th anniversary, and the theme is "Wild, Wild West!"
Anything with stagecoaches, tumbleweeds, and wide-rimmed hats is encouraged.
