The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library will join thousands in celebrating International Games Month @ Your Library, highlighting the popularity and power of games and play, on Thursday, November 21st. The celebration will continue monthly on the third Thursday of each month through April 2025.

Join the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library and over a thousand libraries around the world in celebrating International Games Month @ Your Library on Thursday, November 21st from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room. A wide variety of board games, card games, and video games for all ages will be free to play on a first-come, first-served basis. Examples of games that will be available include classic favorites such as Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, Monopoly, Scrabble, Chess, and Checkers; new standards such as Settlers of Catan, Forbidden Island, Apples to Apples, and Pandemic; and various video games for consoles such as Nintendo Switch. Attendees may drop in at any time during the event to try new games, play old favorites, or simply watch all of the fun.

This event kicks off a monthly gaming meetup at the library for all ages that will take place November – April 2025 on the 3rd Thursday of every month (Nov. 21, Dec. 19, Jan. 16, Feb. 20, Mar. 20, and Apr. 17).

International Games Month is an international initiative supported by the American Library Association, the Australian Library and Information Association, Nordic Game Day, L’Associazione Italiana Biblioteche, and the Public and Mobile Library Group of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.
