February 28: Root Veggies
With Darren Morgan. Many root crops are easy to grow; however, they are a diverse group of plants, representing several different vegetable families, and each has specific needs and nuances. This session will cover how to handle most of the major root crops for maximum success.

Gearing Up for Gardening is a lecture series sponsored by the Benton County Master Gardener Association that meets at 12 p.m. at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library in January and February. These lectures are free and open to the public.
